Written by Cassie1. Make a new layer and fill it with a light color. Make sure it's a really big background (like 800-1000 pixels).
2. Select a font. I chose Onyx. Pick your color(s) (I chose purple and gray but you can choose any colors you want). Type in your site's name.
3. Add a Layer style. Choose Gradient Overlay. Keep it at the black and white gradient. Change the Opacity to 25%.
4. Add another layer style. This time go to Outer Glow. Match your settings to mine:
5. Now you can add awesome brushes, textures, and fonts from Smiley Helper. Here is my final product:
